Allow for the journey to PAIS from your home. A published program does not establish that a place is available in your child's grade.
ASA publishes a program from pre-kindergarten through grade 12. Most subjects are taught in English, with Spanish, Paraguayan studies and Guaraní in the curriculum. Its admissions page asks families to pre-register; the full application follows if a child is eligible and a place is available. Check grade placement and entry requirements before arranging a move.
The AEFE lists all 15 levels, from petite section through terminale, as accredited and gives the address Enrique Solano López 1139, Asunción. Accreditation covers the French school curriculum. Ask the school about grade placement, its calendar and the records needed for a transfer.
The school offers the national secondary diploma with several tracks, including the GIB, a multilingual version of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. According to Goethe, German, History and Biology are taught in German in this track. Check language requirements, assessments and places for your child's year.
PAIS advertises English instruction, support for pupils developing their English and 2 qualifications on graduation: an American international diploma and the Paraguayan diploma. Its admissions page says applications are accepted throughout the year and starts with a visit and application forms. Check places, transport and travel time from Asunción.
What to request before choosing
We have not visited the schools or evaluated their teaching. The reviewed sites do not provide comparable fee and vacancy data for a ranking.
- Ask for the full cost for your child's grade, including enrolment, tuition, meals, transport and one-time fees.
- Confirm the available place, grade equivalence and transfer documents in writing.
- Compare calendars, the actual language of instruction and language support for your child.
