We examined 23 exchange houses authorized by the Banco Central del Paraguay. 13 have a published branch in Asunción and 2 usable rate observations: they form this ranking. The others have no published branch in the city, no official website we could find, or fewer than 2 usable observations. A rate table with the same update timestamp in both captures counts only once.
The spread measures the cost of a round trip: the gap between the selling and buying price of a currency, as a percentage of their average. It is calculated on the dollar, euro and real, using the rates published for the head office or main branch in Asunción, recorded on September 24 and 25, 2026, at 12:50 a.m. Asunción time. Buy: what the house pays you for 1 dollar; sell: what it charges you for one.
Conditions count an accepted passport, commission-free exchange and a receipt, as each house publishes them; a condition not published scores 0 and shows as “Not published”. SEPRELAD, Paraguay's anti-money-laundering authority, requires every client to be identified from 1 USD: national ID for citizens of Mercosur and Chile, passport for everyone else (a rule quoted by Cambios Chaco). Hours count Saturday and Sunday opening at one or more branches in Asunción.
