Private health coverage in Paraguay: what to check
Short answer
We have not published a health insurance ranking. The public register identifies authorized prepaid medical companies, but our file lacks comparable admission terms and prices for ages 30, 45 and 65. A specialist in Paraguay must also review the contracts before any ranking.
Check authorization
Search the exact legal name in the Superintendencia de Salud register of prepaid medical companies (EMPP). Check for “HABILITADA” status and confirm the entry covers medical care rather than dental services only.
Request the full contract
Check foreign resident eligibility, waiting periods, exclusions, limits, emergency care and the provider network in writing. A plan name alone does not establish these terms.
Compare like for like
Request the annual price for the same coverage level at ages 30, 45 and 65. Comparable figures and specialist review are required before we can rank plans.
