Send money to Paraguay: bank deposit or cash pickup
Short answer
Remitly’s pages for transfers from the United States and Brazil, and Western Union’s page for Spain, show bank deposit and cash pickup in Paraguay. Availability, price and delivery time depend on the sending country, payment method and recipient. Before paying, compare the guaraní amount the recipient will actually get and check their details. We reviewed these sources on September 26, 2026; we have not published one ranking for all routes.
Check the sending route and payout method first
Select your sending country and Paraguay in the provider’s quote before comparing options. Remitly lists bank deposit and cash pickup from the United States and Brazil; Western Union lists both from Spain. A method advertised for another country may be unavailable on your route.
If the recipient needs cash
Western Union Paraguay asks the recipient for the MTCN tracking number, transfer details and identification at an agent location. Remitly also lists cash pickup on the reviewed routes; check the actual payout location and required documents for your transfer. Confirm where and in which currency the funds will be paid before sending.
If the recipient has a bank account
Confirm the account holder’s name and account details with the receiving bank. Remitly lists bank deposits on the reviewed routes, and Western Union offers them from Spain. The receiving bank may request further information or apply its own conditions; check the net amount and expected arrival for that account.
Compare the amount received and the total cost
Get 2 quotes for the same amount, sending currency, payment method and payout method at about the same time. Record the fee, exchange rate, displayed taxes or charges, and guaraní amount received. First-transfer promotions have limits and do not show the normal repeat cost; review the final quote before confirming.
Make the first transfer traceable
Check the exact spelling of the recipient’s name and keep the receipt and tracking reference. A small first transfer can test the route and payout before you move a larger amount. Limits and identity checks depend on the provider and route, so review the terms for your transaction.
